On a spectacular afternoon in February 2020, United States Army Active Guard
Reserve Major, Brother Jaime S. McCallop was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant
Colonel during a ceremony at American Legion Post 291 on Balboa Island Peninsula in
iconic Newport Beach, California. During the promotion ceremony Lieutenant Colonel
McCallop was surrounded by family, friends, military officials and Brothers of Omega
Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The ceremony was officiated by Colonel Darl E. Everett Jr.,
United States Army Active Guard Reserve, and also a member of Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity, Inc., initiated through Gamma Gamma Gamma Chapter in 1998.
Lieutenant Colonel McCallop is currently assigned as Chief of the Maintenance Division,
United States Army Reserve Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During his stellar
military career, Lieutenant Colonel McCallop has served in numerous capacities,
locations and deployments such as Fort Meade, Maryland; Joint Forces Training Base,
Los Alamitos, California; Iraq; Kuwait and The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to name a few.
His extensive military education and awards include the Resident Command and
General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Reserve Component Sustainment
Course, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service
Achievement Medal and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal among many
more.

A native of Clinton, North Carolina, Brother McCallop earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University. He was initiated into
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., through Kappa Rho Chapter, Sixth District, in 1994.
Brother McCallop has relocated many times as required by his military career. During
that journey, he has remained steadfast in his commitment to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Inc. He has served Omega through several chapters including Kappa Rho, Lambda
Gamma Gamma, Delta Omega, Eta Phi, Tau Gamma Gamma, and as Vice Basileus of
Mu Alpha Alpha. Brother McCallop is a Life Member (#5589) of Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity, Inc. He is currently financial in both Mu Alpha Alpha Chapter in Orange
County, California and Tau Gamma Gamma Chapter, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Brother McCallop’s family resides in Mission Viejo, California. He was truly appreciative
of the support provided by his family and the Brothers of Mu Alpha Alpha Chapter
sharing in this momentous occasion.

The Brothers of Mu Alpha Alpha were honored for the opportunity to host a night of entertainment for the OC Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta.  Brother Michael Brown brought the house down with greetings from Omega Psi Phi and the overall night of activities and entertainment has to be one of the highlights of the year.  Brother Willie Bradley was one of the event entertainers.
