  • College Endowment Fund

In accordance with National requirements for all Chapters to be financial and in good standing, Mu Alpha Alpha Contributed $300.00 to College Endowment Fund.

  • NAACP Membership

In accordance with National requirements for all Chapters to be financial and in good standing, Mu Alpha Alpha has maintained its long-standing membership with the Long Beach, CA Branch of the NAACP.  Mu Alpha Alpha became an Life Member in 2017.

The Year In Review

  • (3) Brothers participated in Lambda O`s Bulldog 5K Run for Prostate Cancer.
  • MAA submitted a full-page color Ad to the Achievers for Jonathan Green. The Ad cost $175
  • MAA submitted a full-page color ad to Xi Nu for the 74th District Meeting we also purchased signage for a hole at the Golf Tournament.
  • MAA had a booth and participated in African American Cultural Parade in Anaheim, CA.  We were also able to show off our Team #7572  FRC Robot.
  • OCUF made a $1,000 Donation to Second Baptist Church. OCUF is the primary financial sponsor of the Second Baptist Church Health Fair this year. Both OCUF and Omega will have booths at the event. Brother Jim Bowman is one of the event coordinators and the POC for MAA.
  • On 7-16-19 the MAA presented a check to the Watts Skills Academy in the amount of $1,800.00 to help them purchase the needed apparel.

  • Brothers Green, Downs, and Pritchett attended the Long Beach Jack and Jill (LBJJ) Handbags for Hope Event. Brother Green presented LBJJ with a $300 check from OCUF in support of the Ericka Hue Downs Memorial Scholarship.
  • MAA Donated $250 to the March of Dimes
  • MAA and the Orange County Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta held an event at the Lincoln Experience Center in Newport Beach to collect business attire for military veterans who are making the transition from military life to civilian careers. A total of $500.00 was collected and many men’s suits, jackets, pairs of pants, and pairs of shoes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Participated in UCI’s Fall Harvest for incoming freshman. Welcomed students with giveaways and information about MAA and PL Chapters and the OCUF Foundation. Brothers from MAA and Phi Lambda were in attendance.
  • Brother’s participated in a focus group session with young men from Scout Troop 1803 to discuss what they would love to see and get out of a Youth Leadership Conference in 2020.
  • CMP end of program Luncheon at Lucille`s. OCUF awarded 6 students $1,200 before they returned back to school.
