Mu Alpha Alpha Chapter (MAA) played a leading role in two (2) recent events held by the Orange County National Pan-Hellenic Council (OCNPHC.)
- First event was the Divine 9 Day of Worship held at Christ Our Redeemer Church in Irvine, CA where Reverend Dr. Ralph E. Williamson is the Pastor.
- Brother Eugene Pettiford, Jr. of Mu Alpha Alpha Chapter represented Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
- It should also be noted that Brother Pettiford, Jr. holds the leadership position of Chaplain on the OCNPHC Executive Board.
- Second event of day was OCNPHC's Annual Social which was held at Paul Martin's American Grill located within the Irvine Spectrum Center.
- In addition to Brother Pettiford, Jr.'s ongoing leadership and presence within OCNPHC and this event, MAA Basileus, Brother JR Selby was in attendance at the Annual Social and was recognized as our chapter leader.
- Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. clearly had the largest contingent among OCNPHC fraternities in attendance.
- Participants included the aforementioned Brothers Selby and Pettiford joined by Brothers Mark Smalls, Terry Pritchett, Eric Bell and Myron Reed.
- A very brief program took place with announcements of upcoming events being conducted by chapters from the respective OCNPHC member chapters and requests for reciprocal support from other member organizations.
- Brother Eric Bell was recognized during announcements as one of the OCNPHC originators and also a past President.
- The "social" portion was very enjoyable with an opportunity to reconnect and make new acquaintances.
- Finally, a very nice selection and appetizers and libations were available to attendees.
