Brother Malcolm Perry’s CD Release Party

Mu Alpha Alpha’s very own Brother Malcolm Perry is offering a creative way to uplift his peers and youth: thru music. On July 4th, 2016, Perry released his first album, the introspective hip-hop LP

Soul Searching”.

Performing under the alter ego Johnny Quest “The Rebel”, he is a building a niche for himself as a free-thinking rapper specializing in 90s style lyrical content over futuristic production. Fighting the norm of the modern rap scene, he blends his smooth west coast cadence with east coast hip hop storytelling to offer lyricism and cultural integrity, all while entertaining listeners. Over the last two years, he has opened for big name artists such as Scarface, Curren$y, Young Roddy, and more.

Two weeks after the release, Perry hosted and performed several of his tracks at his album release party in Glendale, CA. The event included live art, opening acts, and was well attended, including several brothers of Mu Alpha Alpha. Continuing the success of Soul Searching, Quest is preparing to follow up with his third single, the infectious

"Fast Lane".
